On Friday 17th June, super-collective UKG All Stars took to the stage at the o2 arena to clash against rival sound systems in the highly anticipated Red Bull Culture Clash 2016.
Working alongside the heavyweights of UK music (comprised of So Solid Crew, Foundation, Majestic, DJ Luck + MC Neat and Oxide + Neutrino), Insanity Records and successful UK and Dubai-based management and promotions company Curiosity, #teamjadegreen got stuck in, working on production and stage management for what was to be an epic clash of skill and creativity.
Despite having just 3 weeks to pull together dubs, lyrics, a running order and production, they delivered a killer performance against rivals Eskimo Dance, Mixpak and Wiz Khalifer and his Taylor Gang, even setting off Twitter debates against the eventual winners (Red Bull Music Academy’s Mixpak).
With 18 hour studio sessions, regular rehearsals, musical and strategic collaboration and lots of brainstorming among the artists and supporting management, we couldn’t be prouder to have worked with and support the UKG All Stars.
